The rest of this policy is the detail behind those statements.
This policy describes how Relucia, LLC ("Relucia," "we," "us," or "our"), a Wyoming limited liability company, collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with the BibleBelt app and the website at biblebelt.app (the "Service").
It does not cover the Relucia studio website, which has its own privacy policy, or any third-party service you reach through the Service.
BibleBelt is for users 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete any information we hold and terminate any account. Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has used the Service should email admin@relucia.co.
If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you should use BibleBelt only with your parent or guardian's agreement to our Terms, and we encourage them to review the Service with you. See Section 4 of our Terms of Use.
We do not ask anyone under 18 about their religious beliefs. The age question comes first in setup, and if you indicate you are under 18, the faith and denomination questions are never shown and no demographic information about you is collected. See Section 5.
This is the most important thing to understand about BibleBelt: there is no BibleBelt server holding your study data.
The following is stored locally on your device and nowhere else. There are no BibleBelt accounts and no sync: your progress lives on the phone it was made on, and deleting the app removes it.
Relucia has no copy of any of it. We cannot read it, export it, or restore it. If you delete the app, it is gone, and we cannot recover it for you. A device backup you make yourself (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is not something we can see.
4.1 Product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how BibleBelt is used in aggregate — which screens people visit, which features get used, where people get stuck, and where they stop. These events describe actions in the app, not the substance of your study. They include a randomly generated identifier that is local to the app and is not your name, your email, your Apple ID, or your device's advertising identifier. For users 18 and older who choose to answer, they may also carry the faith and denomination answers described in Section 5.
We use this to fix problems, prioritize features, and understand whether the product works. You can turn product analytics off in Settings → Privacy at any time.
4.2 Onboarding answers. The three optional setup questions. Section 5 covers these in full.
4.3 Your email address, only if you give it to us. BibleBelt has no accounts and never asks you to sign in. If you choose to type your email address into the optional Newsletter field in Settings, we keep it to send you the BibleBelt newsletter — occasional notes about new Classes and what we are working on — and for nothing else. It is stored in a private record of ours, alongside the date and where in the app you signed up, and shared with the service we use to send the newsletter (Section 8) for that purpose alone. It is never joined to the analytics identifier, never sold, and never shared for advertising. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the newsletter; email admin@relucia.co to have the address deleted from our records as well. Nothing in the app requires an email address.
4.4 Crash and performance diagnostics. If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple provides us with crash reports and performance data, aggregated by Apple. This is controlled entirely by you in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
4.5 App Store data from Apple. Apple gives us aggregate, non-identifying reports about downloads, sessions, retention, and — where applicable — subscriptions and revenue. These are counts and trends, never individual users.
4.6 Website logs. Visiting biblebelt.app produces standard server logs at our hosting provider: IP address, timestamp, page requested, referrer, browser, and operating system. The website has no accounts, no forms, and no tracking or advertising cookies.
4.7 What you send us. If you email us, report a content error, or request support, we receive whatever you write and the address you write from.
5.1 We ask your age first, and it gates everything else. The first setup question is your age range. If you indicate you are under 18, we do not ask about your faith or denomination, and we collect no demographic information about you at all. The rest of this section applies only to users 18 and older.
5.2 For adults, two optional questions. If you are 18 or older, we ask which faith or stance you identify with, and — if you identify as Christian — which denomination or tradition you attend.
5.3 They are genuinely optional. Each has a prominent Skip. Skipping costs you nothing, and if you skip, we do not ask again. You can change or clear your answers later in Settings.
5.4 They change nothing about your experience. Your answers do not determine your questions, your difficulty, your content, your recommendations, or anything else you see. There is no version of BibleBelt that adapts to your denomination. We ask so we can understand who finds the product useful and how different groups actually use it — nothing more.
5.5 We treat your religious identity as sensitive information. Information about religious or philosophical beliefs is "sensitive personal information" under the California Consumer Privacy Act and a protected category under other privacy laws. We treat it that way whether or not any particular law applies to us.
5.6 What we actually do with it — plainly. Your answers are stored on your device, and a copy is sent to our analytics provider where it is associated with your app usage so that we can answer questions like "which features do different groups use?" and "does the app work as well for one tradition as another?" This means:
5.7 We commit not to re-identify. We do not attempt, and will not attempt, to identify any individual from this data, and our agreement with our analytics processor prohibits it from doing so.
5.8 You can turn it off, and you can have it deleted. Turn analytics off at Settings → Privacy and nothing further is sent. Because this data is associated with your app's random identifier, we can locate and delete it on request — email us at admin@relucia.co with the subject line "Privacy Request," and see Section 13. Clearing your answers in Settings removes them from your device.
5.9 Limiting the use of sensitive personal information. California residents have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. We use it only for the purposes described in this section, and we will honor a limit request regardless of whether an exemption applies. Turn analytics off at Settings → Privacy, or email admin@relucia.co.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Aggregate and de-identified data. We may create aggregated, de-identified, and statistical data from the information we collect — for example, the share of our users who identify with a given tradition, or how engagement differs between groups. This data contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you. We may use and publish it for our lawful business purposes, including in the app itself, in research, and in marketing. Where we publish statistics about a group, we suppress any group too small to report without risking identification. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified data, and we require the same of anyone we share it with.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only to the following, under contract, for the purposes stated:

We have a data processing agreement with PostHog that prohibits it from using your data for its own purposes and prohibits re-identification.
We may also disclose information (a) to comply with law, legal process, or a lawful government request; (b) to enforce our Terms or protect the rights, safety, or property of Relucia or others; or (c) to a successor in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets — in which case we will give notice in the app before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
BibleBelt Membership — a monthly or yearly subscription, or the one-time lifetime purchase — is sold through Apple's in-app purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Relucia never receives, handles, or stores your card number, billing address, or financial account information, and because BibleBelt has no accounts, a purchase is never tied to anything that identifies you to us: the app checks with Apple whether this Apple ID holds a membership, and that is all we learn. Apple's aggregate reports (Section 4.5) tell us how many memberships exist, never whose. Our analytics record that a purchase happened and which plan, keyed to the random app identifier — never a transaction or receipt number. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
We use HTTPS for all transmissions between the app and our services, rely on Apple's platform security for on-device data, and apply access controls to our vendor accounts. The strongest protection is architectural: most of your data never leaves your control, so there is no central store of BibleBelt user study data for anyone to breach. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

There is no account to delete: nothing we hold is tied to you, and deleting the app removes everything on your device.
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what we collect and why, access a copy, correct inaccuracies, delete your information, opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and profiling (we do none of these), limit our use of sensitive personal information (see Section 5.7), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
How to exercise them. Email admin@relucia.co with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will verify your identity where we reasonably can — for a newsletter address, by confirming control of that address — and respond within 45 days, extendable by another 45 days if we tell you why. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Important limitation. For most of your data, we are not the holder — your device is. You exercise those rights directly using the controls in Section 12, which give you faster and more complete control than a request to us could. For analytics data, including the Section 5 answers, we can locate your records by the app's random identifier — contact us and we will delete them.
Appeals. If we deny a request and your state provides an appeal right, reply with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within 45 days. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent with written proof of authorization; we may also ask you to verify directly.
California disclosures. Under the CCPA, in the 12 months preceding this policy's effective date we collected: identifiers (a random app-local analytics ID); internet or network activity (in-app usage events, website logs); inferences (none — we draw none); and sensitive personal information (religious or philosophical beliefs, via the optional onboarding questions, collected only from users 18 and older, handled as described in Section 5). We collect these from you and from Apple, for the purposes in Section 7, and disclose them to the recipients in Section 8. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We use sensitive personal information only for permitted internal purposes.
We operate from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. The Service is intended for users in the United States. We do not currently target the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and this policy does not include GDPR-specific disclosures. If we open those markets, we will update this policy before doing so.
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change, and for material changes we will provide notice in the app before they take effect. If a change would materially expand what we collect or how we use it, we will seek your consent where required.
