DID YOU KNOW?
The answer
In the Bible, word for word, at 1 Corinthians 16:21. Philemon 1:19 has the same move: "I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand." Paul dictated his letters and added a line in his own hand at the close.
Why it’s interesting
Galatians does the same thing without giving his name: "See what large letters I make when I am writing in my own hand!" (Galatians 6:11). A close in the sender's own hand was how a reader knew a letter was genuine.
