DID YOU KNOW?
The answer
Disagree. Luke writes "so that you may have a firm grasp of the words in which you have been instructed" (Luke 1:4). His reader had already been taught, and the book was meant to make him sure.
Why it’s interesting
Luke also says he set out to write "a well-ordered account" (Luke 1:3). His Gospel puts in order what its reader had already heard.
