The answer

The Edomites. Psalm 137:7 says, "Remember, O Lord, against the Edomites the day of Jerusalem's fall, how they said, 'Tear it down! Tear it down! Down to its foundations!'" The day is the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC.

Why it’s interesting

Edom lay south of the Dead Sea, and it played a central part in the Babylonians' destruction of the city. Then the psalm's anger turns to Babylon itself (Psalm 137:8).
