TRADITION VS SCHOLARSHIP
The answer
The lament over Saul and Jonathan (2 Samuel 1:19-27) and "the last words of David" (23:1-7). The last words use old features of the Hebrew language. Both sit in Samuel, not in the book of Psalms, and the last words do not appear in Psalms at all. Scholars disagree about whether any of David's poems survived, and these two are the ones given a good chance.
Why it’s interesting
The lament is the poem the text says David ordered taught to Judah, written in the Book of Jashar, a lost collection (2 Samuel 1:18). Some psalms under David's name mention the temple, built after his death, which is one reason scholars doubt the title lines that name David as the writer.
