Luke, and only Luke. One of the two criminals mocks Jesus. The other scolds the first man and asks, "Jesus, remember me when you come in your kingdom." Jesus answers, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:39-43). In Mark and Matthew the men crucified beside him join in the taunting, and neither one speaks up for him (Mark 15:32; Matthew 27:44). John gives them no words at all.
Paradise here is a word used both for the garden of Eden and for the place where the righteous go after death. The man asks to be remembered when the kingdom comes, and the answer is "today." The criminal says "this man has done nothing wrong" after Pilate, the Roman governor, has said three times that he finds no guilt in Jesus (Luke 23:4, 23:14 and 23:22).
