The answer
Acts. Acts 1:18 says Judas "acquired a field with the reward of his wickedness" and died there, falling headlong. In Matthew 27:6-7 the money goes somewhere else. Judas throws the silver into the temple, and the chief priests use it to buy the potter's field.
Why it’s interesting
Among the Gospels, only Matthew says how Judas died, and Acts adds the second account. Matthew also names Jeremiah as the prophet who spoke of the silver, but the thirty pieces come from Zechariah 11:12-13. Some ancient handwritten copies say Zechariah or Isaiah instead of Jeremiah.
