Aaron and Miriam. God tells Moses, "your brother Aaron shall be your prophet" (Exodus 7:1). After the crossing, "the prophet Miriam, Aaron's sister" leads the women out with a tambourine (Exodus 15:20). Exodus never gives Moses the title. The New Oxford Annotated Bible, a study Bible, points this out. Deuteronomy does call him one: "Never since has there arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses" (Deuteronomy 34:10).
The study Bible suggests Miriam gets the title because she speaks through music, like Deborah in Judges. It also says the story of God calling Moses at the burning bush follows the same pattern as the calls of prophets like Isaiah and Jeremiah. So the story shows Moses as a prophet without ever using the word.
