The answer
Most of the Old Testament is Hebrew, but sections of Daniel and Ezra are in Aramaic — the everyday language of the ancient Near East, and likely the language Jesus spoke day to day. The New Testament, by contrast, was written in Greek.
Why it’s interesting
So no part of the Bible was originally written in English — that came through many centuries of translation. Aramaic even surfaces on Jesus' own lips, as when he says 'Talitha koum' to a little girl.
