Matthew 27:5 says Judas threw down the silver and hanged himself. Acts 1:18 says he bought a field and, falling headlong, "burst open in the middle." Both are in the New Testament.
Why it’s interesting
Even the money's path differs — in Matthew the priests buy the field; in Acts Judas buys it himself. The two authors tell the end of Judas in strikingly different ways.
