THIS MIGHT SURPRISE YOU
The answer
Not in the Bible. In Mark 10:25, Matthew 19:24 and Luke 18:25 Jesus says it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. None of the three mentions a gate. The Needle's Eye gate is a later explanation from commentators, one the New Oxford Annotated Bible says was invented "in an effort to soften the saying".
Why it’s interesting
The disciples are "greatly astounded" and ask, "Then who can be saved?" (Mark 10:26). Jesus answers in the next verse: "For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27). The text leaves the needle as it is.
