The answer
Jeremiah 51. Jeremiah has a scroll tied to a stone and thrown into the middle of the Euphrates, with the words "Thus shall Babylon sink, to rise no more" (Jeremiah 51:63-64). In Revelation a mighty angel throws "a stone like a great millstone" into the sea: "With such violence Babylon the great city will be thrown down" (Revelation 18:21).
Why it’s interesting
The second telling moves the scene from a river to the sea and makes the stone like a millstone, the heavy stone used to grind grain. Jeremiah's scroll held "all the disasters that would come on Babylon" (Jeremiah 51:60), so the stone took the prophecy down with it.
