The answer

Daniel 7 to 12. These chapters report visions of beasts and kingdoms, explained by a heavenly figure, and they look ahead to a time of crisis and God's victory. An attendant tells Daniel that the four beasts are "four kings" (Daniel 7:17).

Why it’s interesting

The form grew out of the prophets. A line runs from the warnings of Amos and Jeremiah, through Ezekiel's guided vision of a restored Jerusalem in chapters 40 to 48, to Daniel's full apocalypse.
