Not in the Bible. The word does not appear in Revelation or anywhere in the New Testament. The idea rests on 1 Thessalonians 4:17, where Paul writes that "we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air."
Why it’s interesting
Paul was writing to comfort a church whose members had died before the Lord came. He tells them that their dead will not miss out (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
