In Philippians 4:11-13 Paul says he has 'learned the secret' of being content whether well-fed or hungry, in plenty or in need — and it's there that he writes, 'I can do all things through him who strengthens me.' The strength is for enduring, not for winning.
Why it’s interesting
It's a verse people carry into games and exams and big ambitions, and its home is a letter written from prison about needing very little. Reading one more sentence on either side changes what the famous line is for.
