The answer

Agree. The three "Pastoral Epistles" — 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus — are the most doubted of the Pauline letters. Their vocabulary, developed church-office language, and settings that don't fit Paul's known life lead many scholars to read them as later and pseudonymous. Others still defend Pauline authorship.

Why it’s interesting

Writing in a revered teacher's name was a known practice in antiquity, and serious scholars argue it honestly on both sides. The Pastorals are where that debate is sharpest.
