The answer
Luke (Luke 5:19). In Mark the carriers remove the roof and dig through it (Mark 2:4). In Matthew there is no roof at all. People simply carry the man to Jesus on a stretcher (Matthew 9:2).
Why it’s interesting
A tiled roof fits a Greek or Roman house better than a village house in Galilee, which had a roof of mud plaster. The detail suggests that Luke, and perhaps his first readers, were not from Galilee.
