DID YOU KNOW?
The answer
Luke (Luke 6:20). Luke's Jesus says, "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." In Matthew he says, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:3).
Why it’s interesting
Hunger splits the same way: "you who are hungry now" against "those who hunger and thirst for righteousness" (Luke 6:21; Matthew 5:6). After the blessings, only one of the two goes on to woes, starting with the rich (Luke 6:24).
