About BibleBelt
BibleBelt is a Bible education app for people who grew up hearing the Bible’s stories and suspect there is more in them than they were taught. Its Classes are short lesson sequences on one subject at a time: the Gospel of Mark, Paul, the Christmas story, Noah and the Flood, how the Bible was assembled, the Easter story, and Genesis 1 to 3. Each lesson walks through the text, the history around it and what scholars have found, and every claim shows the verse and names its source. Quizzes are the way in: pick a subject and a depth, answer seven questions, and every answer, right or wrong, opens a Reveal with the verse, the context and the sources. The app presents the evidence and leaves the conclusion to the reader. Quizzes and the first lesson of every Class are free; a membership opens the rest.
The problem
Hearing a story a hundred times feels like knowing it. Ask how many wise men Matthew counts, or how the Gospel of Mark ends in the oldest manuscripts, and most people who have sat in church their whole lives find they have never looked. The scholarship that answers those questions fills libraries and almost none of it reaches a pew, a devotional book or a small-group study. What does reach people online is usually one of two things: a defense of a conclusion, or an attack on one.
The approach
BibleBelt puts the text first. Every lesson and every question is built around the verses, and shows them so the reader can check. Context comes next: who wrote the book, to whom, when, and what was going on around them. Then the sources, by name, so anyone can go further. Where scholars agree the app says so; where they disagree, or where a question is open, the app marks that too. Nothing tells the reader what to make of it. The copy points at the text, never at the student: wrong answers get the richer explanation, and there are no buzzers, timers or leaderboards.
What is in it
Seven Classes and 76 lessons so far, with new Classes added regularly. Each Class is a sequence of short lessons; finishing a lesson earns a stripe and four stripes earn a belt, separately in each Class. 296 quiz questions (as of October 2026) across three depths (Foundations, Deeper Study, Scholarship) and four subjects (Stories & People, Books & Authors, History & Timeline, Text & Tradition). Shorts are three-slide fact cards built from the questions, made for sharing. Send this quiz hands the exact seven questions you just played to a friend as a link they can play in the browser, no app needed.
Key features
- Classes are short lesson sequences on one subject, from the Gospel of Mark to how the Bible was assembled, and each completed lesson earns a stripe toward a belt.
- Every lesson step and every quiz answer shows the verse, the historical context and the named sources behind the explanation.
- Quizzes are the way in: seven questions a round, at three depths and across four subjects, all open from the first launch, and wrong answers get the fuller explanation.
- Send this quiz lets a player send the seven questions they just answered to someone else, who plays them in a web browser with the same verses and sources.
- Shorts are three-slide fact cards, each built on one verse, that share to Instagram, TikTok, Threads or X as a swipeable carousel.

About Relucia
Relucia, LLC is a small software studio, and BibleBelt is its first app. It was built after noticing the chasm between what is taught in seminaries, divinity schools and biblical scholarship and what is passed on to church congregants. Many of the questions people ask, or don’t know to ask, have been answered in libraries by scholars who have explored, studied, debated and analyzed scripture for centuries. BibleBelt hopes to bridge that gap and create awareness of, and interest in, how scholars understand the Bible, its history, its authorship and its meaning.
